About Karina…

Karina Kuchy is the owner and trainer of Driven Instincts Dog Training. Her passion for dogs has been a lifelong journey, rooted in a deep appreciation for the unique bond between dogs and their owners. Karina’s mission is to help families build clear communication, trust, and lasting relationships with their dogs through practical, real-world training.

Before entering the dog training profession, Karina spent many years riding, training, and working with horses. The timing, handling skills, and understanding of animal behavior she developed through horsemanship laid the foundation for her approach to dog training today. She believes that successful training comes from understanding how animals learn, building trust, and creating clear expectations.

Karina has dedicated herself to continuing education and hands-on experience, working with a wide variety of breeds, temperaments, and training goals. She specializes in helping owners create reliable obedience, stronger engagement, and better communication with their dogs both at home and in everyday life.

3-Day Intensive

Drop off. Train. Pick up a better dog. Our three day intensive program develops basic obedience skills on leash such as sit, down, come, place, heel.

Priced at $570

Private Lessons

One-on-one training on site and off site focusing on dock diving, basic obedience, CGC certification and more!

Starting at $85/hour at trainer’s facility or $115 at owner’s home.

5-Day Intensive Leash Mastery

Ready to go for comfortable walks on leash with your dog never pulling you again? Join our five day leash mastery program where your dog will be conditioned to the pressure of a pinch collar and prepped for e collar work in the future.

5-Day Intensive Reliable Recall

Need off leash control? Inquire about our electric collar conditioning program which starts with five days of teaching skills such as sit, down, come, heel, and place. We will develop a reliable recall with your dog in this program.

Our Trainers

When she’s not training clients’ dogs, Karina can usually be found spending time with her own dogs and family. Alongside her daughter, Avery, she actively competes in a variety of dog sports and enjoys exploring new activities that challenge both handler and dog. Their dogs including Zelda, Ticket, Moon, Teton, and their growing pack, are more than companions; they are teammates, training partners, and an important part of family life.

Whether competing, training, or simply enjoying time together outdoors, Karina believes that dogs thrive when they are given purpose, structure, and opportunities to work alongside their people. She is passionate about helping others discover that same connection with their own dogs and looks forward to continuing her education and expanding her knowledge for years to come.
